Conversion of a run-down industrial building into the prestigious headquarters of a major Plastics Manufacturing Firm. Seamless integration of Architectural and Interior Design services dramatically reduced delays, keeping costs low. Project required complete envelope reconstruction, environment controls and devices. The office component is dressed in a bronze mirrored glass skin, detailed with contoured metal cornice and flush metal banding. The sheer glass sets up a striking contrast for the boardroom, which is expressed as a symbolic focal element through textured concrete block walls and a pyramidal metal roof. The approach to the main entry is marked and illuminated by three arches which increase in size toward the entry courtyard. The interior concept is a naturally lit ravine/park running through the Office. Programme includes a cafe, lounges, a Tool and Die Plant, a warehouse and storage.
