Additions to and renovations of a large community and recreation centre: to create a ‘new’ 60,000SF Complex including: complete building envelope repair, an arena and zamboni room, an outdoor pool, and bocci courts inspired by ancient Roman amphora, convertible to a gymnasium. This Complex also includes meeting / recreation rooms for youth, seniors and adults (with operable dividers), indoor tot lot in interior café square, fitness rooms, crafts rooms, and team rooms. This project involved consensus between multiple stakeholders. Green architecture: high energy-efficient, earth-integrated building.
